The many pieces and some dexterity to put this together make it ideal for girls over age 9. Even then, my daughter needed some assistance from her older brother for the lighting attachment and putting the major frame together. Yet, the accessories, lights and frame make it a great creative "doll house" that sparks the imagination!

Many Choices to decorate |

This dollhouse is great for 6 to about 11yrs I think. My daughter loves to decorate so she really liked decorating the house. The only drawback I think is that there are TOO many choices and teeny parts that will get lost. It also takes a long time to assemble.

very nice doll house |

My 6 year old daughter received this for Christmas and really enjoys it (not appropriate for younger children though). It definitely required an adult to put it together and the instructions weren't the best, but once assembled she really enjoys playing with it. Unlike most other dollhouses, it comes complete with interior decoration supplies/crafts and furniture -- everything except dolls -- which I think makes this house a very good value. Some of the interior decoration crafts are too advanced for a six year old, but she may be able to do those as she gets older.
